Community Bank opens new branch in Seaford’s Nylon Center

Community Bank Delaware, established in 2006 with its first branch located in Lewes, has expanded its presence with the grand opening of a new full-service branch in Seaford's Nylon Center.
The event marked a significant milestone with the bank as the first new tenant of the revitalized development.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was led by Community Bank President Wm. Jack Riddle, who reminisced about opening a Mellon Bank branch at the same location 40 years ago.
“We are excited to be a local bank owned by people that live in Sussex County,” said Riddle.
Riddle also expressed gratitude to both current and past city and state officials for their support of the Nylon Capital project, which paved the way for the bank's expansion.
Gov. Matt Meyer praised Community Bank Delaware's commitment to local growth and applauded developer Rob Herrera of 9th Street Development Company for his investment in the community.
With the addition of the Seaford branch, Community Bank Delaware now operates three full-service locations across Sussex County: Lewes, Rehoboth Beach and Seaford. A fourth branch is currently under construction in Long Neck at the intersection of Route 5 and Route 24, with plans to open in the near future.
