Milton Theatre will present a live concert along with “Forever Everly: The Everly Brothers Rockumentary,” created and performed by musical artists Jared Mancuso and Nick Gallardo, at 8 p.m., Thursday, June 19, at 110 Union St., Milton.
The 90-minute concert will be accompanied by a film about the Everly Brothers, documenting their rise to fame in the late 1950s, the turbulence they experienced in the music industry, the artists they influenced and their big comeback. Mancuso and Gallardo perform the music live, timed perfectly along with the film, emulating the brothers’ iconic harmonies and bringing audiences back to the early days of rock ‘n’ roll.
Familiar songs include “Bye Bye Love,” “Wake Up Little Susie” and “All I Have to Do is Dream.”
“We’ve had folks come up to us after a show and say, ‘We didn’t know that about them,’” said Mancuso. “And that always feels good to hear, because we know they know the music; we hear them singing along, but them learning new things is an unexpected twist for their evening with us, and I think that’s what really makes it special.”
