Historic Lewes will rock when the second annual British Invasion: From Blockade to Beatles takes over from 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 20, at 110 Shipcarpenter St., Lewes. This is a rain-or-shine event.
Blending history, music and community spirit, the outdoor concert honors Lewes’ stand against the British during the War of 1812 while celebrating the Beatles and other iconic British bands of the ’60s and ’70s. Headliners Tony Sciuto, former member of Little River Band, and Robbie LeBlanc, a veteran of Atlantic Records and Michael Bolton tours, will deliver high-energy performances with sharp harmonies and no backing tracks.
The evening also features raffles and a live auction.
Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating and wear ’60s-inspired attire or their favorite British band T-shirts.
Seats are limited. Proceeds benefit the preservation of the Historic Lewes campus.
