Democrats to host jamboree at Killens Pond Sept. 13

The Sussex County Democratic Committee will host its annual jamboree at 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 13, at Killens Pond State Park Pavilion 1, 5025 Killens Pond Road, Felton.
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet Delaware’s top legislators as well as candidates for the 2026 general election.
Featured speakers will include Sen. Russ Huxtable, D-Lewes; Rep. Claire Snyder-Hall, D-Rehoboth Beach; Rep. Alonna Berry, D-Milton; Sussex County Councilwoman Jane Gruenebaum; Delaware Democratic Party Chair Evelyn Brady; and Sussex County Democratic Committee Chair Jeff Balk.
Attendees can enjoy barbecue, music, fun and face time with local and state elected officials and candidates.
The event is a major fundraiser for the Sussex committee to support Democratic candidates and get-out-the-vote efforts in the county’s 10 representative districts. A crowd of more than 200 people is expected to attend.
“The jamboree has been a Sussex County tradition for over 50 years,” said Jane Hovington, event committee co-chair. “It’s a chance for local voters to connect with fellow Democrats and learn more about their leaders working for Delaware’s future.”
