La Red Health Center recently unveiled its new website with the goal to enhance the patient experience and make it easier to access healthcare services at Sussex County’s only federally qualified healthcare center. This is the first website refresh La Red Health Center has made in 13 years.
La Red Health Center engaged the services of Aloysius Butler & Clark, a women-owned, Delaware-based creative services marketing firm, to build its new website, which was designed to be user-friendly and is available in English, Spanish and Haitian Creole.
The new site features La Red Health Center’s new branding, additional programming such as its produce prescription program, rural re-entry program, mobile health unit, and wellness programs for the hospitality industry and small businesses.
Functionality has also been added to the site. Community members can now learn about La Red’s providers, use an interactive sliding-fee scale to see if they qualify for discounts, request the mobile health unit, learn about events, and sign up online to become new patients. The site also includes links to services such as Delaware Women, Infants and Children benefits, and Delaware’s Marketplace for those who are seeking access to insurance.
“La Red’s new website was long overdue,” said Rachel Hersh, La Red CEO. “The new site reflects who we are today as an organization and where we are going. It also should make it much easier for our patients and the community to learn about La Red and what we have to offer. Making an appointment and engaging with La Red also should be much easier than it was before.”
The new website is one of several efforts meant to make it easier for patients and community members to access the healthcare services they need in a way that is convenient and meaningful to them. Recently, La Red Health Center added providers to its behavioral health and primary care teams, and expanded its hours in response to the community’s needs.
The new website is part of La Red’s overall vision of making healthcare more accessible to all Sussex County residents.
“Accessibility means ensuring that our services are readily available and tailored for all people,” said Rony Baltazar-Lopez. “The website refresh is part of La Red’s ongoing commitment to meet the ever-changing and increasing needs of our diverse community.”
