Apple Cider Festival benefits Lewes Fire Department

October 3, 2025

The Lewes Fire Department's third annual Apple Cider Festival was held Sept. 27 at Station 2 in Nassau. The event featured more than 70 vendors, apple treats, a petting zoo and activities to support the Lewes Fire Department.

The festival was sponsored by Saltwater Roots Events. They host over 30 shows per year to keep crafters, artisans and small businesses in front of the public every week. They also have 35 small local vendors in their store at Tanger Outlets Surfside.

“This was our third annual apple cider festival that we host every year to help raise funds for the Lewes Fire Department auxiliary,” said Saltwater Roots Events owner Sherry Wyatt. “We also do a strawberry festival in May and this year we are adding on a peach festival in July”
