Games Day raises $35K to support domestic violence survivors

Gathered to present the Delaware Womenade Games Day proceeds to support domestic violence survivors are (l-r) Teresa Zatcoff, Katy Merlo and Peggy Kent.
Delaware Womenade hosted its 9th Annual Games Day Sept. 8 at VFW Post 7234 in Ocean View, and the coastal Delaware community showed up in support.
Friends came together to purchase tickets, play their favorite games, and join in on the 50/50 raffle and silent auction.
The event raised $35,000. All proceeds will go directly toward helping domestic violence survivors in Sussex and Kent counties rebuild their lives. Delaware Womenade partners with People's Place in Milford to provide much-needed services and support to women and children in crisis.
Organizers extend thanks to all committee members and volunteers who made the day run smoothly, and to the sponsors and local businesses whose contributions helped make the event a success.
