ALERT - Route 1 closed in both directions between Dewey Beach and Bethany

Due to flooding conditions on Route 1 between Dewey Beach and the Indian River Inlet bridge, Route 1 northbound is closed at Fred Hudson Road just north of Bethany Beach, and Route 1 southbound is closed at Collins Avenue at the south end of Dewey Beach. The closures are necessary due to flooding from the bay. DelDOT will provide an update when the roadway is expected to reopen.
