Enthusiasm was high Nov. 8, as the Sussex GOP helped celebrate the kickoff of the Red Kettle campaign to mark Salvation Army’s Season of Giving on The Circle in Georgetown.
A performance by the Salvation Army Brass Band was a highlight of the event, which also included remarks from local dignitaries, including Salvation Army Seaford Sussex Chapel Commanding Officer Major Philip Davis, Rep. Ron Gray, R-Selbyville, Rep. Jeff Hilovsky, R-Long Neck and Sussex GOP Chair Daniel Willis.
The Salvation Army's holiday assistance programs provide food, gifts and other essential items to those in need during the holiday season. Through initiatives like toy drives, meal distribution and the Angel Tree program, The Salvation Army aims to ensure everyone gets to experience the joy of the holidays.
