Downtown merchants to host Lewes Hospitality Night Dec. 4

The line was long and the weather was cold. But what awaited these die-hard shoppers was worth the chill: fresh, hot sticky buns at Lewes Bake Shoppe.
Christmas festivities in the First Town will kick off with an evening of shopping featuring complimentary refreshments during the 38th annual Lewes Merchants Hospitality Night from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 4, in the historic commercial district. Second Street will be closed to vehicular traffic from 3 to 8 p.m.
Santa will make a brief visit that evening to his Lewes house at the corner of Second and Bank streets.
