Daniel M. Clancy, proud veteran
Daniel M. Clancy, 82, of Millsboro, formerly of Philadelphia, Pa., passed away Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2026, at Christiana Hospital in Newark.
Dan was born in Philadelphia, Pa., Aug. 17, 1943, the son of the late Daniel Clancy and Emily (Edwards) Clancy. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and later worked as a warehouseman at the Navy yard until his retirement.
In addition to his parents, Dan was preceded in death by his son, Danny Clancy.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Anne “Nancy” (Stivender) Clancy; two daughters, Jessica Berry (Brian) and Megan Griffin (Philip); and three cherished grandchildren, Emily and Bridget Griffin, and Francis Berry.
A visitation will be held from 10 to 10:45 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 22, at Mary Mother of Peace Catholic Church, 30839 Mt. Joy Road, Millsboro, DE 19966, where a eulogy will begin at 10:45 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be held privately.
