Labor secretary to address Women in Construction Summit March 3

Associated Builders and Contractors Delaware Chapter will host its annual Women in Construction Summit from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.,  Tuesday, March 3, at the Del-One Conference Center at Delaware Technical Community College in Dover.

Designed to empower and connect professionals at every stage of their careers, the one-day summit will bring together women from across Delaware’s construction, engineering and skilled trades industries for a dynamic day of leadership development, panel discussions and networking opportunities. 

Kenote speaker Lakresha Moultrie, Delaware Department of Labor secretary, will share insights on workforce development, economic opportunity and the evolving roles of women in Delaware’s labor and construction landscape.

“Women are not just participating in the construction industry; they are leading it, innovating it and shaping its future,” said Jennifer Cohan, ABC Delaware president. “[The summit] is about recognizing that momentum, amplifying women’s voices, and creating real opportunities for connection leadership and growth. Bringing together industry professionals with state leadership underscores the importance of building a strong, inclusive workforce for Delaware’s future.”

In addition to the keynote address, there will be engaging panel discussions with industry leaders, interactive conversations on career advancement and leadership, and intentional networking opportunities that foster mentorship, collaboration and professional relationships across the construction industry.
