Anna Anhalt Alosi, loving homemaker

Anna M. Anhalt Alosi, 97, of Lewes, passed away Feb. 27, 2026, at Beebe Healthcare, Lewes. She was the daughter of the late Elwood and Mary Akin.

Anna was a homemaker, who enjoyed painting, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She liked watching the Young and the Restless on TV daily and playing Pogo games on the computer. Anna was a friendly, upbeat lady who was loved by her neighbors, friends, family and all she came into contact with. She was a former member of the Milford Church of the Nazarene, Harrington Senior Center, and the USTA Horseman Association. Anna was a current member of Seaside Baptist Church in Lewes and Lewes Senior Activity Center.

In addition to her parents, Anna is preceded in death by her husbands, Frank M. Anhalt and John R. Alosi Sr; one grandson; and one great-granddaughter.

Anna is survived by her daughters, M. Kathleen Appleton (Robert) and Patricia Jones (W. Robert); stepsons, John Alosi Jr., Edward Alosi and David Alosi; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Anna’s honor may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, stjude.org.

A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m., Friday, March 6, at Thomas E. Melvin & Son Funeral Home, 15522 S. DuPont Hwy., Harrington, with visitation starting at 10 a.m. Interment will follow immediately after at Milford Community Cemetery, Milford.
