Athletes of the Week March 13

March 13, 2026
Landen Hill

A rumbler and a rambler between the pipes, this Milford senior goalie notched more than 150 saves as a junior and more than 500 during the course of his career. Coach Blake Faulker: “Landen Hill has been the backbone of our team for the last three years leading into his senior season. He continues to improve while also proving that he is one of the best goalies in the state. He has quick movement, fast hands and is an excellent passer, continually giving us a chance in every game he plays. He recently passed the 500 career saves mark for his career. He holds three all-conference selections and three all-state selections.” Landen was selected one of Delaware’s top 44 lacrosse players in 2023. Last season, he set Milford’s school record of 27 saves against Cape.

Ty Mackert

This Milford senior lacrosse midfielder was ripping goals against Wilmington Christian on an early-season play day at DE Turf. “I’m confident the ball is in the cage,” Ty said. “It’s more than just throwing a hard shot at the goalie.” Coach Blake Faulkner: “Ty Mackert is entering his senior season as a four-year starter on varsity, and the heart and soul of our team and the driving force for Milford lacrosse. He is one of the smoothest lacrosse players I have ever coached or been around. He is one of the most gifted players we have ever had in the program. He recently passed the 100-career-goal mark and 200-career-point mark last year. He is a three-year captain and has shown to be one of the best players in the state. He is currently closing in on becoming Milford’s all-time leader in goals, assists and points. He has signed his official letter and will be playing lacrosse at the University of Lynchburg. Ty is also an honor roll student and member of the National Honor Society.”

Andrew Sivels

Drew is a junior football and lacrosse player for Milford. His mom is Kim Sivels, formerly Kim Robinson of Cape. Drew is packaged for power and speed, and is an elusive midfielder on the Bucs’ lacrosse team. Last season, he scored 20 goals after a fall football season where he shared the backfield with state champion wrestler Greg Lockett. Coach Blake Faulkner: “Drew Sivels is a rising star for Milford lacrosse, and as he enters his junior year, he has quickly ascended the depth chart to become a key member of the offense. He currently has 40 points in two years heading into what should be a big year offensively and coming off his best full season. He is consistently one of the fastest players on the field and as gifted an athlete as any. All this while being an honor roll student and valuable member of the Milford football program.”

Riley Stazzone

Riley the runner had put down a career of being the next-best guy who just keeps getting better. His high school career has found him on the shoulder of Jason Baker, holder of a few Cape school records, or pushing Sussex Academy’s Ryan Moody to the finish line at the Sussex County Cross Country Championships where Moody ran 15:52.3 to Stazzone’s 15:52.4 to win the individual title. Riley was Cape’s No. 2 runner and seventh overall last fall when Cape captured the state championship. Riley always shows up, looks the part and plays the part. Riley cruised the Lucky Leprechaun 5K course March 8, running stride for stride with Jason Baker in 17:03 to win the race through the streets of Milton. Following Riley and Jason to the finish line were teammates Nick Petito and Brayden Redd, in 17:19 and 17:20.
