Millsboro man dies in Georgetown crash
A Millsboro man, 23, died March 22 following a single-vehicle crash on Zoar Road.
Police said William Chilel-Ramirez was driving a Chevrolet Silverado at 5:10 p.m. eastbound on Zoar Road, west of Governor Stockley Road, approaching a slight curve in the road when he failed to navigate the curve and drove into a farm field. The truck then struck an irrigation system and a utility pole before overturning onto its roof.
Chilel-Ramirez was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The roadway was closed while the scene was investigated and cleared.
