Dewey Infrastructure Committee to meet
The Dewey Beach Infrastructure Committee will meet at 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, at the town lifesaving station.
The committee will discuss and possibly vote to recommend that the town council approve funding for a town resiliency plan regarding climate change and sea level rise.
The committee will also discuss and possibly vote to appoint a chairperson and a secretary.

Lewes architecture group to meet April 2
The Lewes Historic Preservation Architectural Review Commission will hold its monthly meeting at 6 p.m., Thursday, April 2, at the Rollins Center.
The agenda includes discussion and possible action regarding a request by Groome Church for demolition of an addition, and restoration and additions to the existing church sanctuary building at 601 Savannah Road.

Milton FD Penny Party set April 2
The Milton Fire Department Auxiliary will host its Annual Penny Party Thursday, April 2, at the fire hall, 116 Front St., Milton. Doors will open at 6 p.m. with games starting at 7. Attendees should bring their pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters and dollars, and play for prizes and treasures. All ages are welcome. Lewes City Hall, BPW closed April 3
Lewes City Hall and the Lewes Board of Public Works offices will be closed Friday, April 3, in observance of Good Friday.
Both will reopen at 8 a.m., Monday, April 6.
Computer studies info session set April 6
Wor-Wic Community College will hold a free virtual information session about its computer studies programs at 7 p.m., Monday, April 6, via Zoom for anyone interested in learning about degree, transfer and career opportunities in the computer field.
The session will highlight two new computer degrees designed to meet growing workforce and transfer demands in the technology sector.
The computer science transfer associate of science degree is designed for students planning to continue their education at a four-year institution. It was developed in conjunction with Salisbury University to allow students to enter with junior standing. The program provides a strong foundation in programming, problem-solving and computer science theory, preparing graduates for seamless transfer into bachelor’s degree programs in computer science and related fields.
The computer technology cybersecurity concentration associate of applied science degree is a career-focused program that equips students with the technical skills needed to protect systems, networks and data in an increasingly digital world. Students will gain hands-on experience in areas such as network security, ethical hacking and risk management, preparing them for entry-level roles in cybersecurity and IT support.

Millsboro library friends jewelry sale set April 16-18
Friends of the Millsboro Public Library will host its annual jewelry extravaganza fundraiser from 3 to 7 p.m., Thursday, April 16; 12 to 5 p.m., Friday, April 17; and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, April 18, at 217 West State St., Millsboro. Cash, checks and credit cards will be accepted for payment.
Proceeds will be used to support children’s reading programs and for e-book purchases.
All year, library patrons and friends have been donating gently used jewelry in preparation for the event. Hundreds of items will sell in the $1 to $10 price range. A silent auction table featuring more-expensive items will also support the group’s fundraising efforts.
Divisive issues are topic of April 24 event
The Braver Angels Delaware Alliance will hold a free event, Finding Common Ground on Polarizing Issues, from 7 to 9 p.m., Friday, April 24, at American Legion Post 28, 31768 Legion Road, Millsboro. Register at de.braverangels.org.
Braver Angels is the nation's largest volunteer-led movement seeking to build bridges across the partisan divide, and the event is part of its Trustworthy Elections Project.
