Linda Mecham recognized for years of service on legislative task force

Linda Mecham, a branch office administrator at Edward Jones in the Milton office, recently was recognized for serving six years on the firm's Branch Office Administrators' Grassroots Legislative Task Force, a group dedicated to raising issues on the minds of individual investors to local, state and national lawmakers.

As a task force member, Mecham has traveled to Washington, D.C., to discuss with lawmakers a number of investment-related issues.

The BOA Grassroots Task Force, introduced in 1996, is modeled after a similar legislative task force that is made up of financial advisors. Because Edward Jones is the only firm in the industry dedicated to serving individual investors exclusively, "We believe we are uniquely qualified to speak on behalf of those investors," Mecham said.

Mecham works with Edward Jones Financial Advisor Janet Maher at the branch office at 28322 Lewes-Georgetown Highway in Milton.
