The real estate market in Sussex County, Delaware is off to a good start in 2013, trying to keep pace with a strong year in 2012.
Overall sales of single-family homes in the county were down a bit compared to last January, from 125 in 2012 to 109 for this January. However, the average sales price and median sales prices are up. Inventory is starting to increase a bit, and many indicators are pointing to another strong year in sales of homes. It looks like we are approaching what experts call a "normal" market, one where it is advantageous for both buyers and sellers.
