Bubbles for Bubbles wine tasting July 26 at The Cultured Pearl

From 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, July 26, The Cultured Pearl Liquor Company will host a special sparkling wine tasting, Bubbles for Bubbles, to celebrate the recent publication of "Down on B-Dock," written by the Pearl’s own wine expert, Paul Dyer.

Bubbles, a main character in Dyer’s new Rehoboth-Dewey novel, is named for her love of, well, bubbles. Derailed from her career arc of business school and corporate executive by the lure of the ocean and being a local bartender at The Emerald, Bubbles has discovered a new way of life with the iconoclasts on B-Dock.

The public is invited to join wine lovers, book lovers and readers for this tasting of bubbles from around the globe selected and poured by the author himself, Paul Dyer, a Dewey-Rehoboth local for many years. The event is free and will feature a great variety of the bubbles that Bubbles herself would have selected. These include Deor Prosecco from Italy, Toso Brut from Argentina, Cristalino Brut Rosé from Spain, Gruet Blancs de Noir from New Mexico and Argyle Brut from Oregon.
