Sussex County Senior Services Inc. (CHEER) hosted the 37th annual Beach Day in Rehoboth Beach Sept. 20.
Each year approximately 1,000 senior citizens and caregivers from throughout Delaware attend this event to honor both senior citizens and the end of the summer season at the beach. Walgreens of Lewes was on hand to provide flu shots, Beebe Medical Center community outreach offered screenings, Sussex Eye offered glaucoma screens and free lunch was served. Many agencies from around the county offered information and free goodie bags.
Music at the Bandstand and walks on the beach were enjoyed by all.
