McGlone can provide leadership for Rehoboth

August 2, 2014

I recently had the pleasure of meeting Tom McGlone to discuss my concerns with new housing being built in Rehoboth Beach.  Like many who live here, all I could visualise is even more cars. I felt McGlone’s ideas to manage this were sensible.

His idea is to pro-rate off street parking to occupancy as a prerequisite for all new housing.  As he explained, the current ordinance requires two off-street parking spots. In my mind, it would make sense that a new home with four-plus bedrooms would be to require the incorporation of off-street parking on the property for, say, one spot for each bedroom. Ideas certainly need to be discussed.

This is the kind of leadership thinking I think Rehoboth needs. I am voting for Tom McGlone August 9 for our next mayor.
