It was certainly sad to hear of the recent passing of Lillian Bourne. Lillian was a wonderful and giving person, and will always be remembered for her volunteer work at Beebe Healthcare. We will never forget the "vision" she had, when she developed a plan for a thrift store to benefit Beebe. She presented her plan to the foundation board, and it was approved and turned over to the auxiliary for implementation. The rest is history!
If not for Lillian's idea and persistence, the Beebe Thrift Store would not exist today. Even though others took credit, the concept was hers - and, as a result, the thrift store has raised more funds for the auxiliary and hospital than ever expected.
I, along with many other volunteers, am proud to know that we helped Lillian's dream become reality. Thank you, Lillian - we will never forget you - we will never forget your "vision" - and we will never forget your plan. We will miss you - rest in peace!
