Winona H. Smith, devoted Jehovah's Witness
Winona H. Smith, 82, of Milford, passed away Friday, Dec. 26, 2014, at Delaware Hospice in Milford.
She was born in Milford, Dec. 18, 1932, daughter of the late George E. and Edna Grey (Ingram) Argo.
Winona was a devoted member of the Milford Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Most of her working life involved full time service to bible education. Besides her dedication with the congregation, she possessed a strong love for all forms of art, photography, poetry, and most importantly, her loving family.
Winona’s positive disposition alongside her dignified demeanor toward others will be greatly remember and cherished. She exuded the utmost grace and class in every aspect of her life. Many of her life values can be found and reflected on JW.ORG
In addition to her parents, Winona is preceded in death by her son, Kenneth L. Smith. She is survived by her loving husband, George; and their two children: Wanda Lee Ferebee and Dan L. Smith; her two siblings: Eleanor Argo West and John P. Argo; and three grandchildren: Sara J. Street, Leah E. Smith, and Lindsey T. Smith. Winona is also survived by a host of nephews and nieces.
A visitation will be held Saturday, Jan. 3, at the Milford Chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home 119 NW Front St. where friends may call between the hours of noon and 2 p.m. A memorial service will be held that same day at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses 509 Airport Road, Milford, at 3pm. Interment will be private.
