Phillip Morton Gallery to feature ‘Male’ exhibit

The Philip Morton Gallery has announced an exhibition on the figurative male from bronze sculptures by famous American artists Elie Hazak and Fritz White to a ballpoint pen portrait by world renowned Dr. Seuss illustrator and heir to the Seuss estate, Aristides Ruiz.

As a follow-up to featured exhibit “Of And By Women” earlier this year, the gallery has put together a collection of multiple mediums for the exhibit “Male,” which will kick off with a wine and hors d’oeuvres opening reception 5-8 p.m.,, Friday, Aug. 6.

This is a collection of selected works from many great artists, some famous worldwide, to bring together an eclectic mix of male-form art.

Also on display, works by famous American sculptor Fritz White (1930-2010), known for his large bronze sculptures of Native American and mythological figures, a member of Cowboys Artists of America and the National Sculptors Society.

Elie Hazak, designer of the Mario Andretti Trophy and famous cowboy artist is represented in the show.
