Nurse practitioner joins People’s Place
The People’s Place Counseling Center recently hired Barbara Stanley, nurse practitioner. She received her degree as a psychiatric mental-health nurse practitioner from New York University.
Stanley has been practicing for 11 years and will now see clients 16 years and older in the Milford office Monday through Thursdays. Stanley provides assessments and medication management and can see clients in Milford with Unison, DPCI, Medicare insurance and private pay.
The People’s Place Counseling Center’s staff includes 16 professionals who serv Kent and Sussex counties, and lower New Castle County, at sites in Milford, Millsboro, Seaford and Smyrna. Appointments can be scheduled by calling the agency’s intake coordinator at 422-8026. The People’s Place Counseling Center is a contract provider for the Delaware Department of Children, Youth and Their Families.
People's Place identifies the social and mental needs of its clients and facilitates the provision of services to address those needs. People's Place is a nonprofit human-service organization under the supervision of Executive Director Del Failing. It is a full member of United Way of Delaware and receives state and federal grants as well as private donations.
