Joann C. Jones, Calvary Church member

Joann C. Jones, 84, of Georgetown, passed away peacefully with all of her children and some of her grandchildren by her side Monday evening, Feb. 23, 2015.

She was the loving wife of her first husband, the late Robert E. Jones, and her second husband, the late Benjamin H. Jones. Born in Lancaster, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Paul E. Sr., and Christiann (Worrell) Wissler. After graduating high school, Joann worked various jobs, with her last job being at J. B. VanSciver furniture store, in the accounts receivables department, for many years. In her spare time she had enjoyed singing in the choir, doing crossword puzzles, and spending time at the beach, her favorite being Cape May, N.J.

Joann especially cherished the time she spent with her loving family. She was a former member of Grace Baptist Church in Millersville, Pa. and a current member of Calvary Baptist Church in Georgetown.

She is survived by her four children, Sharon Bradley (wife of Nolen) of Crowley, Texas, Kathleen Zerphey (wife of Jeffery) of Lancaster, Robert Jones Jr. (husband of Nancy) of Plainfield, Conn., and Andrew Jones of Lancaster; as well as eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral service at Kearney A. Snyder Funeral Home, 141 E. Orange St., Lancaster, Monday, March 2, at 12:30 p.m. A viewing will be held Monday also at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be in Conestoga Memorial Park.
