Children from Uganda bring enthusiasm to Lewes

Conley's United Methodist Church in Angola was bursting with song and the joy of young children from Uganda, March 28, as hundreds of people enjoyed a free concert offered by the African Children's Choir.

Nonprofit Music for Life is the parent organization of the choir, sponsoring Choir 43 as it performs traditional African songs and dances as they tour the United States.

Funds raised by the children’s choir have educated more than 50,000 African children  and helped thousands more in relief and education projects.

Following the tour, choir members’ education is sponsored by Music for Life. the organization says former choir members have gone on to become lawyers, journalists, engineers and doctors.
