Dogfish Head is naming sponsor for RAL Route 9 artist-in-residency studios
The Rehoboth Art League announces that the four studios for artists in residency at Route 9 now bear the name Dogfish Head. The RAL Art Studios on Route 9 opened to the public March 13. The Rehoboth Art League is grateful for this commemorative gift and for the ongoing support from Dogfish Head.
“One leg of Dogfish Head’s Beer and Benevolence Program is rooted firmly in nourishing the arts, and we are very happy to support the Rehoboth Art League’s new satellite location. We hope that the artist studios there and the modern classrooms help to grow arts here in coastal Delaware," said Mark Carter, Dogfish Head's beer and benevolence guru.
The RAL Art Studios on Route 9 provide the art league with the capacity to offer additional arts programming for surrounding communities. The four Dogfish Head Artist-in-Residency Art Studios will provide four members with the opportunity to have a working space in a creative environment and to increase the visibility of their artwork to a broader audience.
In addition to the four Dogfish Head Artist Studios, the new 6,400-square-foot space includes two galleries including a members’ gallery; two large classrooms for drawing, painting and mixed media classes; a multipurpose space for additional classes, gallery space or meetings; a media arts center housing equipment for photo editing, printing and graphic design classes, and administrative office space. Each of these spaces offers a unique naming opportunity as a tribute gift.
