Christian Writers to hear from video marketers April 18

Bob and Terri Gillespie of More Than Memories Video from Media, Pa., will present unique and practical ideas to authors interested in marketing their books through video productions. The presentation will take place as a part of the regular monthly meeting of Delmarva Christian Writers’ Fellowship from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, April 18, in Tunnell Hall at Georgetown Presbyterian Church, 203 N. Bedford St., Georgetown.

According to Forbes Magazine, nearly 1 million new books are released each year. For independent authors, finding a way to stand out in the sea of great books is a challenge. From book trailers to video blogs, authors have more opportunities to market their books than ever before. The seminar will explain how a book trailer, like a movie trailer, is designed to get people talking about an author's book and to drive sales, or at least interest.

The Gillespies will present examples of their work as well as practical instruction on how authors can produce their own videos. The husband-and-wife team of MTM Video has over 10 years of professional video experience, specializing in faith-based corporate and special events products.
