Ocean Atlantic Realty welcomes nine new realtors

April 25, 2015

Ocean Atlantic Sotheby’s International Realty has announced the recent addition of nine realtors to its team of real estate professionals.

“We are thrilled to have these agents on board with us at Ocean Atlantic Sotheby’s,” said Justin Healy, broker at OASIR. “In addition to diverse and interesting professional career paths that have ultimately led them to the field of real estate, many of our new additions have deep roots in our local community.”

Pati Freeman is virtually a native of Rehoboth Beach, spending summers with her family here since early childhood. Since her parents moved to Rehoboth full time in 1968, Freeman has acquired considerable insight and knowledge into the evolving real estate landscape of coastal Delaware. She and her family made Rehoboth their full-time home in 2011.

In addition to raising her three children in Frederick, Md., with her husband of 40 years, Freeman's background includes extensive experience in both construction and real estate. In her early career, she worked as a new homes sales representative before becoming part owner of a small-scale construction company, gaining valuable experience in new home construction, home remodeling and commercial renovations. Freeman also spent years as an office manager for a major general contractor in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Freeman strongly disagrees with the phrase "don't sweat the small stuff” and prides herself on paying close attention to every detail of each real estate transaction.

Dale Rife spent more than 20 years as a financial services marketing and relationship management executive. Having worked with some of the nation’s largest corporate, government and not-for-profit entities, Rife has the marketing, strategic business planning and contract negotiation skills to ensure a home buying and selling experience of the highest professional caliber. Born and raised in New Castle, Rife received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware, and has served in multiple leadership positions professionally and personally. His partner Jack Kofoed, also an Ocean Atlantic Sotheby’s Realtor, specializes in preparing homes for sale through his in-house OASIR professional staging team, found at www.sprucedup.net. Working together to leverage their skills and passions, Rife and Kofoed ensure every detail from start to settlement exceeds client’s expectations. They are actively engaged in the community and love showcasing the Delaware coastal life.

A New York native, Donna Connelly was a member of the New York Police Department for 21 years, ultimately becoming a government liaison to the State Department and Secret Service. Through this experience, she was recruited by one of the Top 10 Fortune 500 companies to aid in the safety of their board of directors’ travels in the United States and abroad for national and overseas business. She held this position for five years, leaving her with a vast intuitive knowledge of a diverse range of personalities and places.

Aside from her professional background, Connelly brings with her a certification in landscape design from the Bronx Botanical Gardens in New York. She prides herself on her keen knowledge of the value of both landscape and hardscape, and the importance of not only a building structure, but also the surroundings that complete a home. Between trips abroad, Connelly and her husband would come to their beloved summer home in Lewes to relax and enjoy the beach life, until 2008 when they made Lewes their permanent home.

Lucy Monigle joined Ocean Atlantic Sotheby’s in March 2015. A Sussex County native and graduate of Worcester Preparatory School in Berlin, Md., she continued her education at Wofford College in Spartanburg, S.C. After spending a year and a half at Kate Spade New York as a nationally ranked sales associate, Monigle joined i.g. Burton Mercedes Benz as a sales consultant. Working within the automotive industry, she honed her communication, organizational and negotiation skills. She channeled her energy into learning and mastering a myriad of sales and marketing skills, taking tremendous pride in her product.

As her longtime interest in real estate began to resurface, she decided to pursue this career in earnest and is looking forward to helping clients reach their real estate goals. Monigle is passionate about health and fitness, spending time in Cape Henlopen State Park on one of the several trails or practicing yoga. She attends both the Lewes and Rehoboth farmers markets supporting local produce. She is an avid snowboarder and, when she can, enjoys spending time at her family home in Steamboat Springs, Colo. Volunteering as a lector at her local church, Monigle enjoys immersing herself in the community whenever possible. She can be spotted cheering on any one of her four younger brothers at Cape Henlopen High School lacrosse games.

Dolores Pack is a native of Bergen County, N.J., and spent many weekends and summers at the Delaware beaches with her family. Following a successful career as a marketing consultant in the town of Montvale, N.J., Pack made Bethany Beach her full-time home in 2006. She is passionate about the real estate business and had a real estate license in New Jersey part time for many years while raising her children. Pack and her husband Larry are an integral part of Sea Colony and the active tennis community there, developing the Sea Colony Owners website.

In her spare time, Pack is involved with several local restaurants and committees, including UNICO, the Italian American Association, People's Place, Womenade and Believe in Tomorrow, and she has done fundraising for the American Cancer Society.

Having spent nearly 14 years as a part-timer in Rehoboth Beach and now as a full-time resident, Norman Bennett has a great appreciation for the Delaware coastal lifestyle. He is originally from Raleigh, N.C., and his successful 33-year government career landed him in Washington, D.C. in 1991. Soon after he arrived in Washington, D.C., the Delaware shore became a favorite getaway for Bennett and his spouse Marco, and their dogs. Upon buying their first beach property in 2000, they found instant relief from the traffic and stress of the Washington metro area. Friendships, community and the amenities of the Rehoboth area made the permanent transition an easy choice.

Bennett's career as a senior executive at the U.S. Department of Agriculture required top-notch negotiation skills, nonstop customer service for constituents and impeccable integrity in all business matters. Much of his career at USDA was spent as a statistician, where attention to detail and problem solving were of the utmost importance. His professional career prepared him well for the next adventure in real estate.

Bob Burton grew up in Lewes and attended Cape Henlopen High School and Delaware Technical Community College, where he earned an associate degree in manufacturing engineering. After three years working at National Cash Register, Burton moved to Columbia, Md., and spent a long career working for Litton Industries and later for Northrop Grumman as an operations program manager, where he was responsible for $10,000,000 manufacturing budgets. Burton earned his bachelor of science in manufacturing management from University of Maryland’s University College. Burton and his wife Susan purchased a second home in Millsboro in 2005, knowing that his roots were in coastal Delaware and that was their retirement destination. After a long career working in private industry on government Department of Defense contracts, he accepted early retirement and made coastal Delaware his permanent home.

Burton obtained his Delaware Realtor's license in 2012 and is now a member of The Oldfather Group of OASIR. A skilled negotiator, he prides himself on his in-depth market knowledge of coastal Delaware from Milford to Fenwick Island.

Her given name may be Teresa Cason, but most people in the southern Delaware real estate world know her simply by her initials, T.C.  She is a highly regarded agent in the region; Cason’s sales in her first three years in the industry totaled more than $20 million.

Holding a master’s degree in business administration, Cason focuses on residential, investment, and development and builder real estate, providing an exceptionally high level of customer service to her valued clients. Constantly yearning to expand her knowledge about the industry, Cason has received her ABR, SRES and new GREEN designations and is actively pursuing her CRS designation. Now a member of The Oldfather Group, she also teaches classes to first-time homebuyers and investors.

In her spare time, Cason enjoys fundraising for causes that matter to her. She is also an active public speaker and provides financial management for several coastal Delaware nonprofit organizations.

A native of New Castle County, Lisanne Kane has a broad understanding of real estate from her background as a former regional manager in mortgage finance. She also served as construction office manager for her father, a custom home builder, and has followed in the footsteps of her mother, a realtor for nearly 30 years. She ran an avian rescue for 25 years, and she enjoys volunteering with cancer patients, fundraising with her doves, horseback riding and creating art. She relocated to coastal Delaware and has worked as a realtor since 2009. As part of The Oldfather Group of OASIR, she enjoys helping clients search for and identify the right property and is committed to providing excellent client service.

“The real estate market in Sussex County, and especially coastal Delaware, has seen a dramatic increase in sales and volume over the past few years,” said Healy. “We see a marked improvement in housing sales across all price ranges and are delighted to expand our team to include these talented professionals. They are most welcome additions, and we look forward to the market continuing its upward trend into 2015.”
