Pep rally lauds Cape's spring sports success

Cape Henlopen High School students and athletes attended a pep rally June 1 to honor the spring sports teams, which made quite the showing this year.
The girls' lacrosse team made it seven in a row with another DIAA state championship, while baseball and boys' lacrosse each made it to the state finals.
The softball team made the state tournament after a seven-year hiatus, while senior Sam Young was honored for winning the state championship in the pole vault competition in track and field. The Cape golf team was also honored for its play in the state championship.
