First State Manufacturing receives quality management recertification

June 27, 2015

First State Manufacturing has received its NSAI AS 9100C renewals for 2015. National Standards Authority of Ireland is the internationally recognized quality management system certification that governs the quality standards required to work with leaders in the aerospace industry such as Boeing, Lockheed-Martin and Northrop Grumman.

“We are one of the only companies of this size to earn this gold standard of quality assurance,” said Tim Wentland, director of Quality, and Production and Facilities. “Not every item we manufacture requires this standard, but we have worked hard for the past three years to maintain our level of quality for every item produced. As a result, our annual audits kept us moving forward toward our renewal goal.”

First State Manufacturing has become an award-winning company and is one of the most successful manufacturers of its size in the nation. Providing quality upholstery and cut-and-sew services to the U.S. military, municipalities and a wide array of commercial customers, First State Manufacturing has earned its reputation for providing solutions that solve the challenges its customers face, while continuing to grow manufacturing jobs in Sussex County.

“Mr. Wentland and his team strive for superior quality, which has contributed to our growth and ability to provide more manufacturing jobs over the last three years,” said Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Eli Valenzuela. For more information, call 302-424-4520 or go to www.FirstStateMfg.com.
