Lois B. Adams, brought family together

Lois Bradley Adams, 94, of Milton, passed away peacefully at home Friday, July 31, 2015.

She was born and raised in the Choptank River area of Trappe, Md., daughter of the late Will and Florence (Warner) Bradley.

She attended Trappe School and graduated at the top of her class. She enjoyed all scholastic activities and was a member of the Eastern Shore Volleyball championship team.

Lois started her family in Easton, Md. with her husband, Charles Adams. She later followed the hosiery business to Milton. Charles passed away in 1991 after 53 years of marriage.

Lois loved reading, dancing, cooking and gardening, but especially bringing her family together.

She is survived by three children, Nancy Carey and husband Robert, Adele Chalabala, and Charles “Chuck” Adams and wife Eleanor; four grandsons: Steven Carey, Aaron Carey and wife Susan, E.J. Chalabala and wife Autumn, Spencer Adams and Diana Farmer; two great-grandchildren, Bradley and Carlie Carey; and one great-great-grandchild, Clayton Carey.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, Aug. 4, at 1 p.m., in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal St., Milton, with visitation after noon. Burial will be in Henlopen Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
