VIA members prepare for charity golf tournament Sept. 21

The Village Improvement Association’s 17th Annual Charity Golf Tournament will be held Monday, Sept. 21, at The Peninsula. Proceeds from the event will benefit the VIA’s local charitable outreach programs including, but not limited to Beebe School of Nursing, Cancer Resource Center, Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company Inc., Rehoboth Beach Public Library and the YMCA.

This year’s tournament will feature prizes for men, women and mixed groups, the longest drive, closest to the pin and other categories. Preston Motors Boulevard Ford will offer a new car as the prize for the hole-in-one contest. There will also be door prizes and raffles. In addition, the tickets for the event will include a continental breakfast and a Southern barbecue luncheon.
