Westminster Presbyterian donates $500 to support Buddy Walk
Westminster Presbyterian Church on Oct. 18 presented Dennis and Sharonlee Diehl with a check for $500 in support of the Buddy Walk. This year was the 10th anniversary of the walk which the Diehls founded, organize and manage. The walk raises consciousness and funds to support individuals who have Down syndrome and their families. Sharonlee’s brother David has Down syndrome.
This year the walk was held Oct. 10 at the Rehoboth Boardwalk. Members of the congregation joined hundreds of others for the occasion. They applaud the service the Diehl family has given to provide acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome, for helping Rehoboth live into its communal value of “room for all,” and for the way they live their faith.
