Parrot Heads donate to Justin's Beach House

The Delaware Sea Shore Parrot Head Club hosted a fundraising event at Mango's in Bethany Beach March 5.  Proceeds from the event in the amount of $2,200 was presented to Justin's Beach House March 14 to help in support of their efforts to build and maintain a home in the Bethany Beach area where families with cancer can come for a place of respite and family enjoyment.

"For nearly 15 years the Delaware Sea Shore Parrot Head Club has been volunteering for environmental programs along the beach and coastline as well as special events for non-profit, patient-focused services" said Parrot Head President Mike Ohr.

Delaware Sea Shore Parrot Head Club is a group of civic-minded volunteers who enjoy Jimmy Buffet style music.  The group holds two fundraising events each year where proceeds are donated to local charities.  For interest in becoming a member contact Ohr at 226-3238.

Justin's Beach House, located on Route 26, is dedicated to Justin Jennings.  Justin was diagnosed with brain cancer just five weeks before leaving for Penn State.  He hoped to become a psychologist to help families in distress.  Justin died June 25, 2000.
