Lillian Furman Phillips, garden club member

Lillian M. (Furman) Phillips, 77, of Lincoln, passed away at home Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015.

Born in Goffstown, N.H., she lived in Elizabeth, N.J. for 12 years, then Lebanon Township for 35 years, residing in Lincoln seven years ago. Mrs. Phillips was a member of the Milton Garden Club and was a volunteer at the Avenue United Methodist church food pantry in Milford. Lillian was a self-employed home and care taker for 15 years, retiring in 2008.

Mrs. Phillips was the beloved wife for 55 years of William Phillips; devoted mother of William Phillips Jr. and his wife Carla of Danville, Calif., and Richard Phillips and his wife Nancy of Mercerville, N.J.; loving sister of Dorothy Asprocolas of Cocoa, Fla.; dear sister-in-law of Anna Hilongos, and cherished grandmother of Kayla, Rachel and Margaret “Maggie”.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 16, at 10 a.m., in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal St., Milton, where friends may call an hour prior for a time of visitation. Interment was private.
