Artisans’ Bank promotes David Ferguson to chief lending officer

Artisans’ Bank announced the recent promotion of David H. Ferguson to senior vice president/chief lending officer and president of the bank’s Southern Division. Ferguson’s new responsibilities will include managing the bank’s commercial lending team as well as the commercial loan credit policies and procedures.

Ferguson will continue to manage and grow the bank’s commercial loan portfolio and deposit portfolio in the communities of Sussex County. Ferguson will be a member of the bank’s senior management team. He will maintain dual offices, one at the bank’s Wilmington headquarters and one at the bank’s Sussex County commercial lending office at 19358 Miller Road in Rehoboth Beach.

Ferguson has over 27 years of commercial lending experience. He was previously employed at Artisans’ Bank from 1999 to 2004 in the commercial lending area. Prior to rejoining the bank,  Ferguson was a vice president with WSFS Bank Sussex County Lending Office.

Ferguson is a graduate of Western Maryland College, Westminster, Md., (now known as McDaniel College) where he received a bachelor of arts in business administration. He is also a 2004 graduate of the American Bankers Association’s Stonier School of Banking. In 2015, Independent Community Bankers Association recognized Ferguson as one of six exceptional lenders who represent the best and brightest in the community banking industry.

He is a member of both the Lewes and Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach chambers of commerce.  Ferguson resides in Lewes. For more information, go to www.artisansbank.com.
