“Eggs-tavaganza” this Saturday in Lewes Canalfront Park!
Celebrate the arrival of spring and “hop” on over to Lewes Canalfront Park for the annual Egg Hunt Saturday, April 20th from 10:00 am-noon. In support of one of the most popular community events in the Cape region, Friends of Lewes Canalfront Park have stuffed an incredible record-breaking nine thousand (yes 9,000!) eggs with candy, trinkets, and treasures that will be hidden throughout the beautiful park resulting in a delightful spectacle of happy little egg hunters. Egg Hunt treats are nut-free and food-allergy friendly. The park is located at 211 Front Street on the banks of the Lewes-Rehoboth Canal in Historic Lewes.
The Egg Hunt will begin at 11 am sharp, but come early at 10:00 am for many activities including photos with the Easter Bunny, Face Painting and Balloon artistry. The fun will happen rain or shine, but in the event of heavy rain drive over to the parking lot for the little hunters to collect their eggs. The event is recommended for kids10 years old and younger. It is also recommended that attendees bring baskets, bags or buckets to collect their goodies in. Tickets are $5 for a single child and $10 for two or more children in a family. Advanced registration is encouraged which may be done at the Friends of Lewes Canalfront Park website www.lewescanalfrontpark.org . Since there will be no printed tickets, attendees should arrive as early as 10 am to check in for the Egg Hunt and enjoy the activities.
