Coastal Connections: Georgetown organization offers hope and jobs to those in recovery
SUSSEX COUNTY, Del. - Christian Grace LLC, a Georgetown-based organization, is offering hope and a fresh start to individuals recovering from addiction. By providing sober living homes and job opportunities, the organization is helping people rebuild their lives, one step at a time.
David Forman, the president of Christian Grace, founded the company after overcoming his own battle with addiction. He now makes it his mission to provide help and support to those who can't help themselves.
Brianna Watkins, who struggled with a crack cocaine addiction for years, is one of the many people who have benefited from the program. “I had nothing,” Watkins told CoastTV. “No clothes, no phone, no job. Now, I have a home and I’m working again.”
Christian Grace operates four sober living homes in Georgetown, including one with a Zen garden. Forman says the homes offer more than just shelter—they provide a supportive environment where people can gain stability through work. "It’s about helping them find purpose," he said.
For Eric Doering, staying sober means a chance to build a future for his daughter. "Every day is a struggle," Doering said. “But having people like David giving me a chance keeps me going.”
Forman told CoastTV that recovery isn’t just about the individual; it has a generational impact. “Helping one person can change an entire family’s future,” Forman said.
For many, Christian Grace is more than a recovery program—it’s a lifeline to a better life.
