We turn the page to February in a few days but before doing so, we have some great events lined up for this final weekend of the year's first month.
The big headliner of the weekend is one of Bethany Beach's largest annual festivals, to be held over three days this coming weekend. Keep reading below for much more on the 2024 Fire & Ice Festival, as well as several other events that we're excited to tell you about.

Bethany Beach Fire & Ice Festival (January 26-28)
One of winter's biggest events happens this weekend when the annual Fire & Ice Festival in Bethany Beach takes over with three fun-filled days for residents and visitors alike.
Actually a coordination with three resort communities - Bethany Beach, Ocean View, and Millville - this weekend promises to be a great time in Delaware's "Quiet Resorts."
There are dozens of great events planned for the three days of the event, many of which we’ll be highlighting for you. Be sure to take note of your favorites and head to the south coastal region this weekend for some great mid-winter fun.
Winter Delmarva Dogfish Birding Weekend (January 26-28)
The organizers of the annual Winter Delmarva Birding Weekend events are again partnering with the Dogfish Head Inn in downtown Lewes for a three-day birding event in the coastal region.
Planned for this Friday through Sunday, there's plenty of waterfowl and coastal wildlife on the agenda for 2024. These include shorebirds, raptors, both Harbor and Gray seals, purple sandpipers, and many others.
Tour areas include Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge, Cape Henlopen State Park, and the Indian River Inlet, with special deals and packages available at the Dogfish Inn for Delmarva Birding Weekend participants.

Hot Chocolate Festival (January 27)
This wintertime event will be held at the Delaware State Fairgrounds in Harrington on Saturday, January 27, between the hours of 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Enjoy shopping at the winter market, sample a variety of chocolates and other sweets, find gifts for Valentine's Day, and just enjoy a fun local gathering.
