Golf Tournament Raises Money for New Bayhealth Sussex Campus
Bayhealth’s annual Spring Golf Tournament was recently held at the Rookery North Golf Course. The event is a collaborative fundraiser between the Bayhealth Foundation and the Auxiliary of Milford Memorial Hospital.
This year’s event featured a brunch in the Rookery North clubhouse prior to the golfers teeing off, and Dogfish Head’s Chesapeake & Maine restaurant also provided oysters and samples of their products. Throughout the tournament, the teams competed to win prizes for best overall team performance, longest drive and other contests. The event raised just over $21,000 for the Milford Auxiliary, which has chosen to apply these funds in support of the new Bayhealth Sussex Campus in southern Delaware.
