SOBER LIVING EXPANDS TO REHOBOTH BEACH: Safe, Stylish Homes Closer to Jobs and Beaches

February 17, 2026

Christian Grace, LLC, a provider of supportive sober living homes, has expanded its reach in Sussex County with two new properties in Rehoboth Beach. This brings the organization's total capacity to 45 beds across seven single-family homes in Georgetown and Rehoboth.

These safe, affordable residences welcome individuals actively engaged in recovery from drug and alcohol addictions, those reentering the community after incarceration for substance-related offenses, or anyone simply choosing a sober lifestyle free from drugs and alcohol.

These new homes on 2nd Street in Rehoboth Beach are conveniently located just half a mile from Route 1 near Walmart—making them an easy walk or bike ride to work opportunities, local resources, and only minutes to the boardwalk and beach.

Founder David Forman notes that about a third of residents in the Georgetown homes already commute to Rehoboth for employment, highlighting the need for closer options in the beach community.  "We remain focused on providing safe, affordable spaces with private rooms or shared with no more than one roommate, in locations close to work, local resources, and transportation," Forman said.

The primary goal of this transitional housing is relapse and recidivism prevention through peer-supported, family-style living environments that nurture growth during early recovery. Transitional housing also serves as a vital bridge in rebuilding familial relationships for long-term stability. As Forman explains, "It gives time to heal and rebuild trust between the person in recovery and their family members, spouse, or significant other—time that is often essential after the damage addiction can cause."

For residents, the emphasis is on creating welcoming, supportive settings. "Our goal is to maintain family-style settings where everyone feels seen, heard, and able to grow—and even make mistakes—in a safe environment among peers," Forman added.

Transitional housing plays a critical role for individuals leaving treatment centers or correctional facilities, where the first two weeks post-release are often the highest-risk period for relapse—especially without stable housing or peer support. Christian Grace homes are strategically located near essential services, including public transportation, employment opportunities, recovery meetings, and grocery stores.

These homes also offer an excellent option for those seeking sober alternative living without a recent history of drug or alcohol use, providing perhaps the most affordable year-round housing in the area, just minutes from the beach and boardwalk!

Each property features:

  • Private and semi-private rooms
  • One or more full bathrooms on each floor
  • Gourmet kitchens with new appliances
  • Comfortable shared living spaces
  • Free laundry
  • High-speed internet access

All homes are recently remodeled and stylishly furnished.  Rooms start as low as $25 a day for a shared space ($175/week), most private rooms are $200/week, and spaces with private bathrooms are sometimes available for $250-$275/week.

Eligibility requires a minimum of 30 days of sobriety, active participation in recovery, and the ability to work at least part-time or volunteer outside the home. Homes are also open to those not transitioning from formal treatment but who wish to live in a drug-free, alcohol-free environment.
