The Harry K foundation would like to take this opportunity to thank the Meoli Companies for their support of the 2020 Harry K Foundation Virtual Annual Christmas Gala.

For more than 27 years, the Meoli Companies have been committed to delivering a gold standard experience to their McDonald’s customers each and every time they visit their restaurants. From the food they serve to the people who serve it – they strive to be the best in the business.

For the past seven years, The Harry K Foundation has provided necessary nutritional supplementation to thousands of at-risk children in Delaware, notably through our continually replenished food pantries throughout the state. The emergence of Covid-19 profoundly tested our ability to ensure that every child’s need is met. But this challenge has not deterred us. As needs expanded, so have our efforts. We are currently feeding a record number of Delaware children and their families. This year we have incorporated additional avenues of assistance, like direct deliveries of food to families around the area. And as our schools reopen, the children who count on us need to find our school pantries stocked and ready for them.

Our goal at the Harry K Foundation is and has always been to serve our community in the best way possible. Since the Covid-19 crisis we have switched our efforts from timed systematic procedures and protocols to more of an emergency and relief effort with collaboration and coordination amongst many different partnering organizations.

This year, we have decided to host our Eighth Annual Christmas Gala as a virtual event on December 11, 2020. We rely on the proceeds from the Gala to fund our Harry K food pantries and backpacks for the coming year. Despite the new territory we have entered, the need we address has increased exponentially, and so will our sincere commitment to ending it for good.
