Wedgwood China Imperial at The Wooden Indian

Taking inspiration from 19th Century oriental designs within the Wedgwood pattern archive, the opulent print of the Imperial Collection magnificently represents the dragon and phoenix. These two motifs together symbolise beauty, power and good fortune within the Chinese culture, and are traditionally used as Imperial characters. Detailed mythological creatures are showcased in tones of real gold against the eclectic, textured background in beautiful regal hues of red and blue. The edges of the dinnerware set, which includes a chopstick stand, rice bowl with cover and Chinese tea cup and saucer, are further gilded in 22-carat gold for a decadent finish.
