Wilson Gates’ transformation of The Buttery to the 2nd Street Tavern is complete.
At the corner of Savannah Road and Second Street, the new restaurant opened May 1 featuring a revamped menu that still includes many of The Buttery’s staple dishes. The space was renovated to offer a larger bar with 12 to 14 beers on tap, and a lounge area with leather couches and a fireplace where friends can grab some drinks and appetizers. The dining rooms along Savannah Road and Second Street remains.
The restaurant is open from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday through Sunday. The bar often stays open later. Reservations are accepted for parties of six or more. For more information, call the restaurant at 302-645-7755.
