Active Adults Realty in Delaware announces 2017 top producers

January 18, 2018

Active Adults Realty broker/owner Kathy Sperl-Bell is proud to recognize Shining Star Award Winners for 2017. The awards recognize the exceptional work in real estate and client service provided by members of the Active Adults Realty Team.

"We feel it is very important to recognize our agents/Realtors for their achievements in the local real estate market," said Sperl-Bell. "In 2017, we generated $73M in sales, 32 percent more than last year, closing 215 transactions." It was another excellent year for real estate all over Delaware and for Active Adults Realty.

Team Coordinator Audrey Hammond earned the Shining Star Award for her outstanding contribution to the Active Adults Realty Team. Hammond is often the first point of contact with new prospects. As a result, the team can handle more leads in a timely manner, allowing agents to be more productive. Hammond joined the firm in 2017.

The agent responsible for the Highest Overall Dollar Volume for 2017 once again is Alfred Willis with over $11.9M in gross real estate sales, $10.9M of which came from his work with buyer clients. Since joining Active Adults Realty in 2012, Willis has been a consistent top performer every year.

Bill Bell, associate broker/co-owner, was responsible for the Most Listings in 2017 as well as Most Listing Revenue. He has been responsible for growing the firm's market in northern Delaware, especially in the Middletown area. As a result, the firm added three more agents in 2017 to focus on the Middletown area as well as Kent County and the rest of New Castle County.

The award for Highest Number of Total Transactions in 2017 went to Debbie Shearer. She closed 39 transactions in 2017 compared with 28 in 2016. Shearer joined Active Adults Realty in 2012 and has always demonstrated a strong work ethic and concern for her clients' well-being.

The award for Highest Conversation Ratio in 2017 went to Bob Greason. One of the most important measurements in today's real estate business is the conversion ratio. In today's fast-paced, internet-savvy world, an agent must be able to establish rapport with prospects immediately over the phone or via email and text communications. Converting an internet lead into a client and then into a sale is critical to one’s success as a Realtor. To figure the conversion ratio, Greene's 2017 contracts or closed sales were measured against the total number of leads that he received from the firm in 2017.

The 2017 Rising Star award went to Mike Malone, who just joined the firm in 2016. He is one of the most consistent and best agents. Malone came with an excellent business background, including years in construction and property management.

Rookie of the Year for 2017 is Ron Mercante, who joined Active Adults Realty in summer 2017. He already demonstrated his willingness to do what it takes to become a professional Realtor and represent his clients well.

"It is our business to work with baby boomers and active adults who are planning to retire in Delaware," said Sperl-Bell. "If you are thinking of relocating, visit our website to find homes for sale, 55+ communities, all-ages neighborhoods and new home construction. It's easy to set up a personalized search, find relocation services, keep up on trends, get market updates or contact a member of the team at www.ActiveAdultsDelaware.com."
