Aging in place panel discussion set Jan. 14
Village Volunteers will present an interactive panel discussion about aging in place at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 14, at the Lewes Public Library, 111 Adams Ave., Lewes.
“Aging in place is about more than staying in your home; it’s about planning ahead so you can continue to live with confidence, independence and connection,” said Emily Buckingham, member services manager at Village Volunteers. “This panel will help attendees better understand the financial, legal and accessibility decisions that support long-term well-being, while learning about local resources they can turn to as their needs change.”
The event is designed for older adults, caregivers and family members who are seeking practical, local guidance. Panelists will cover real-life topics such as financial planning for retirement and long-term care, estate and will planning, healthcare directives and navigating transportation needs without driving. The panelists encourage questions so participants leave feeling informed and empowered to take their next steps.
Registration is requested, with walk-ins welcome as space allows. To sign up, go to lewes.lib.de.us or call 302-645-2733.
