A Department of Correction crew cleans up medical waste that Delaware State Police say blew out of a trash truck along Route 1 about noon, Oct. 16, in the southbound lanes and sidewalk across from the Holland Glade Road intersection, near Tanger Outlets Seaside in Rehoboth Beach. The waste, including masks, gauze and gloves, blew across the road onto the median between the southbound and northbound lanes. Officials from the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control Emergency Response Team, Delaware State Police and Delaware Department of Transportation assisted with traffic control and cleanup.
