Alexander A. Fiora, retired landscaper
Alexander A. Fiora, 75, of Lewes, died Sunday, Aug. 21, 2011, at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes.
He was born Jan. 28, 1936, in Philadelphia, Pa., son of the late Frank Anthony and Angela Marra Fiora.
Mr. Fiora was a landscaper his entire life and owned his own business for many years. He also worked in maintenance for the U.S. Postal Service for 18 years in the Upper Darby area. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed playing his guitar, motorcycle riding and reading.
He is survived by his wife Carol C. Fiora; a son Frank A. Fiora and wife JoeyLynn; three daughters: Lisa Grech and husband Paul of West Grove, Pa., Carol Monastra and husband Michael of West Chester, Pa. and Gina A. Buoni and husband Joseph of Chester Heights, Pa.; 10 grandchildren; and a sister, Nancy Fiora of Tucson, Ariz. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his sister Rosemarie Stagliano.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Friday, Aug. 26, at St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church, 35 New Road, Lenni, Pa., where friends may visit with the family one hour prior to Mass. Burial will be private.
